Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group, an NYC real estate brokerage was established by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran later left the company. Corcoran was a participant in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. Corcoran has been involved in 53 deals as of February, 2020. The largest was a $350,000 investment that will pay for 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second child of 10 from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and also a housekeeper. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. Her father was always changing jobs during Corcoran's entire life. Her family sometimes depended on free food delivery from a nearby grocery store. Corcoran still remembers her father as someone who drank often and did not treat her mother with respect. Corcoran was a struggle in school and was diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran started in high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood after attending an Catholic primary school. Corcoran completed her studies at Leonia High School with a diploma in English, despite having failed several classes during her first year.
